Cocchi’s Homefront Acres
Healing Through Farm-Based Connection and Animal-Assisted Support

About Cocchi’s Homefront Acres
Cocchi’s Homefront Acres is a therapeutic farm dedicated to healing and community connection through farm-based activities and animal-assisted support. Rooted in compassion and lived experience, our farm provides a sanctuary where veterans and families can find reconnection, purpose, and renewal in nature. We believe in the transformative power of the land and the bonds formed between people and animals.
Our wellness programs are thoughtfully designed to address the unique needs of those we serve, offering therapeutic experiences that promote mental health, physical well-being, and emotional healing. Through meaningful engagement with farm life and animal care, we create opportunities for personal growth, resilience building, and the restoration of hope. At Cocchi’s Homefront Acres, every visitor is part of our extended family, and every day on the farm is a step toward healing.
More About Us
Cocchi Homefront Acres and Homefront Farm Foundation were created from a shared vision between my husband and I—to build a space where healing, purpose, and connection come together in a meaningful and lasting way.
With over 15 years of experience in mental health and social work, I have spent my career supporting individuals and families navigating crisis, trauma, substance use, and systemic barriers to care. Through my work, particularly with veterans and community-based programming, I have seen firsthand the gaps that exist in long-term, holistic support; especially after individuals leave clinical or crisis settings.
At the same time, my personal passion for animals and the therapeutic power of the human-animal connection has always been a guiding force in my life. We began to envision what it could look like to intentionally bring these worlds together; clinical understanding, peer support, and the grounding presence of animals and nature.
Cocchi Homefront Acres is the physical foundation of that vision; a working farm rooted in stewardship, sustainability, and care. It is a place where animals are respected, land is nurtured, and community is welcomed.
Homefront Farm Foundation expands that vision into direct service, offering trauma-informed, peer-led programming for veterans, families, and individuals seeking connection, purpose, and healing. Our approach is grounded in evidence-informed practices, while also recognizing that healing often happens outside of traditional settings, through relationships, routine, responsibility, and the quiet presence of animals.
What makes this work unique is the intentional integration of:
- Mental health expertise and lived experience
- Peer support and community-based care
- Animal-assisted and nature-based interventions
- Opportunities for purpose, skill-building, and reintegration
This is a place where individuals can reconnect with themselves, with others, and with a renewed sense of direction.
Our goal is to build something sustainable, ethical, and deeply impactful, where services are accessible, relationships are genuine, and every individual who walks onto the farm feels a sense of belonging.
